WOW... a story of 35 Bibles, 37 tracts and a God hater!

So it is very hard to give this encounter a title, but one thing is for sure, this was quite a series of events!

At Christmas I went to post something at the post office up the street from us. I gave the person who served me (his name is Ash), one of our recent Gospel tracts (the thank you card, pictured below)

Then not long after, a brother went to post a load of our Bibles that we give out through our other website www.free-Bible.co.uk. He just happened to go to the post office (he does not usually go to this one) that Ash works at. Because of the large volume of Bibles, Ash asked what they were. They then had a conversation about the things of the Lord and how Ash's uncle is a Christian whom had a great change in happen in his life when becoming a Christian. Ash asked for a free Bible.

Today I took over the general posting of the Bibles. I went to drop off the free Bible for Ash (and post 33 of them, with a tract in each, to various parts of the country). Ash was very grateful for the Bible (he also remembered the tract I gave him that is mentioned above). We had a long conversation and it turned out the lady who works at the till next to him also wanted a free Bible. I did not have a spare Bible on me, so I returned later that day.

Upon returning to give the lady a Bible, Ash was very animated. He was desperate to tell me something that had happened. He also wanted to tell the other customer standing next to me. He told us the story of how after I had left earlier, he placed the Bible I gave him on the side. Another customer came in and was eyeballing the Bible for some time. From this, Ash asked him "would you like a free Bible?" to which the man replied with great deal of hatred - that all Christians should be burnt and the Bible banned etc. Ash guessed he did not want a free Bible. He then proceeded to ask the customer to place the package he wanted posting on the scales. As the scales registered the weight, the customer was shocked, Ash also (as well as some others around him) - the weight of the parcel was 666! The God hater then said the scales must be faulty (so he adjusted the parcel and tried again). But they were clearly registering 666. The story ended there, but this gave me an opportunity to give the customer next to me one of our FREE gift tracts (see picture link below). What made it more interesting was that Ash told the man he needed to go home and read the tract!

I told Ash and the lady next to him that I will be back with more Bibles to post in the near future. Here's hoping for some interesting conversations when I take the Bibles to the post office in the future!! Please pray for the two post office workers, the customer next to me, all those who received Bibles and of course the God hater!
